Kapalua Beach is a small beach located at the base of the Kapalua Golf Club's Bay Course in Kapalua Bay. Rich, golden white sand and swaying palm trees line this secluded little beach. This sliver of sand is a hidden gem and is often un-crowded. It offers ultimate island scenery since Molokai is also visible from here. Snorkeling is excellent because of the protective features of the Kapalua Bay.
Two lava fingers extend out into the ocean creating a beautiful blue crescent moon-shaped aquatic playground. Conditions are always calm unless there is a major northwest swell. There is an easy sandy entry and lots of coral reef immediately offshore. You will observe tons of sea life in these warm calm waters. To get there, you must find the public access which is really pretty easy.
Just find the public parking lot for Kapalua Beach between Merriman's Restaurant and the Sea House Restaurant on Lower Honoapiilani Road, less than a mile west of the Ritz Carlton. If the parking lot is full, there is usually parking off the street, but you may have to walk a way if you get there late.
