Located 4 miles north along Honoapiilani Hwy, past Kaanapali is Napili. Another mile or so toward the ocean and you’ll discover Napili Beach, tucked inside of Napili Bay. Napili Bay is just south of Kapalua Bay. This beach is adorned with golden-white sand and turquoise waters. Coconut palms dot the back of the beach next to vacation condos.
Napili Beach offers some of the most stunning sunsets with Molokai on the horizon. There is a reef formation 50 yards offshore that creates a calm arena for ocean lovers on the inside. It has a sandy bottom, and the water is crystal-clear, making it a great beach for swimming and snorkeling. You can swim in between a channel in the reef to get to the outside. You’ll find it straight out from the middle of the beach. Be aware that the waters beyond the reef will be more open to ocean currents and conditions. There are no lifeguards. To find Napili Beach, stay on Honoapiilani Hwy 4 miles past Kaanapali. Take a left on Napilihau Street. You’ll pass Napili Plaza on your left.
Drive 1/4 mile to the end of this road, and take a right onto Lower Honoapiilani Road. Drive another 1/2 mile and take a left onto Napili Place. It’s pretty easy to miss if you’re not paying attention, so start slowing down when you pass Napili Point and Napili Shores condos. You’ll want the very next left. You’ll see a small white sign for Napili Surf. Parking is here on Napili Place off the side of the road and is limited, so arrive early to get a spot.
